Dr Mikao Usui developed Reiki into a working practice that we teach today.
Reiki Healing is the laying of hands and the channelling of universal life force energy from the practitioner to the client to create a positive flow of energy throughout the clients body, spirit and mind, clearing blockages and areas of density. The practitioner may lay their hands on the clients body or in the electric field around their body called their aura.
The Reiki energy works with the seven levels, layers or bodies of consciousness and the body’s chakra system to clear disharmony and bring balance to the entire body.
Reiki is taught in three levels or degrees, each one strengthening the connection with the ‘Universal Life Energy’ and gives the practitioner more knowledge and ability. With each level, instruction is given on how to work with the Reiki healing energy, the student also receives an attunement or initiation, this is where the teacher will direct symbols and energy into the students body to awaken or reconnect the healing energy from the universe into their body, giving them the ability to channel and connect with this energy at any time.
Level One - physical and self healingBegining the journey of healing enlightenment. Switching on the Reiki Healing energy within the student, the body's aura and chakras receive their first cleansing release as the student learns how to bring healing to the self and to others.
Level Two - emotional and mental healingFocusing on awakening the student to channelling a higher vibrational healing energy. Learning Reiki symbols and the ability to send healing distantly, clear spaces, food and other objects. With this degree the student is able to begin channelling healing to trauma/karma from earlier years of their life or past lives. The student can also begin to clear addictions and negative thought patterns.
Level Three - Teacher/Master HealerFocusing on the student releasing and becoming a pure channel of healing light. The symbols of attunement are given with the guidance on how to teach Reiki to others.
